Who We Are
CO Dance Club is founded by a husband and wife team dedicated to sharing their passion for dancing. Our mission is to create a community of dance in the North of England with people who vary from beginner to competitor; but all have one thing in common - their love for dance.
Olivia Skibsrud
Hey! I'm Olivia, I began dancing when I was just 5 years old and at age 10 found Ballroom and Latin Dance, after having an obsession with Strictly Come Dancing (I'm not the only one right?!). Fast forward a few years and I have competed all over the world, worked on board cruise ships am now a British National Professional Latin Finalist with Christian.
Fun Facts:
- My Favourite Dance at the moment is Samba!
-When I'm not dancing (which is rare!) I love going to Pilates, going on walks and spending time with my Nephews.
- My favourite thing about teaching is the variation. One minute you're in a Ladies' Latin Class, the next you might be dancing ProAm and the next hour you're teaching a Wedding Lesson. It makes my job exciting and interesting every day.
Christian Skibsrud
Hei! I'm Christian, I am originally from Norway but over the last 9 years have pretty much adopted the Yorkshire accent. I started dancing at the age of 12 after winning a swing competition at school! I have competed and trained in many different countries including Russia, Latvia, Germany and of course Norway! Olivia and I have had different upbringings in the dance world, but when I decided to move to the UK to dance with her, we clicked right away. Fast forward to 2025 and we are currently 4th in the British National and United Kingdom Closed Championships - oh and happily married too!
Fun Facts:
- My favourite dance is Cha Cha.
- I enjoy cooking and apparently make the best Spag Bol ever!
- Sometimes at a ProAm Competition I can have 15 partners with different routines and abilities, sometimes dancing over 300 times!
- I'm a real technician and enjoy the process of implementing technique into my dancing.
